    What is a magnetic material?
Magnetic material is the general term for metals with a magnetic property.
For example, a magnetic tape and magnetic disk for recording, a permanent magnet, and a generator that generates electricity by powered rotation are familiar usage examples. This is the application of the properties of electricity and magnetism, and a suitable magnetic material is used in such devices without exception.

Magnetic material includes magnetic bodies with various physical properties such as a “ferromagnetic substance”, “weak magnetic substance”, “diamagnetic substance”, and “paramagnet substance”. Each property is explained clearly here, and simple experimental results are also included.
    | Ferromagnetic substance | Material to attach to a magnet (Steel, Cobalt, Nickel) |
|---|---|
| Weak Magnetic Substance | Material that does not attach to a magnet, and strictly speaking classified to the two kinds below. |
| Diamagnetic Substance | The magnetization of the material is weak equal to one ten thousands – one hundred thousands of that of the ferromagnetic substance. (Oxygen, Sodium, Aluminium, Chromium, Platinum) |
